No quat binding, quat binding may occur when the active ingredient (quaternary ammonium chloride) becomes attracted and absorbed into wiper material. This is because quats are positively charged ions and certain textiles are negatively charged. The result is that a percentage of the quat does not end up on the surface it is supposed to be disinfecting.
